Traveling Fellowship Program
Since its inception, the CSRS mission has always been to exchange and develop ideas and philosophy regarding the diagnosis and treatment of cervical spine injury and disease.
Over the years, the organization has stayed true to its mission and has distinguished itself by providing increasing opportunities for meaningful research funding as well as promoting excellence through high quality CME programming.
The goal of the fellowship is to expose young spine surgeons under the age of 45 residing in either North or South America to other institutions and individuals with an expertise in the cervical spine to broaden their experience and foster their academic career.
Traveling Fellowship Application Requirements and Supporting Documentation:
- Attendance at CSRS Americas annual meeting in the year of traveling fellowship
- Under the age of 45
- Reside in North or South America
- Two sponsor letters from CSRS Americas members
- Letter of support from Department Chief
- Current CV
- On-line application
2019 Traveling Fellowship Program
Congratulations to the CSRS North America 2019 Traveling Fellows, Ilyas Aleem, MD, Ann Arbor, MI, and Lee Tan, MD, San Francisco, CA. Drs. Aleem and Tan who joined Aju Bosco, MS(Ortho) and Dennis Hey, MD, from CSRS Asia-Pacific, and Rui Reinas, MD, Porto, Portugal, and Valerie ter Wengel, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from CSRS Europe, for travel to sites in India, China, Korea, and Japan for four weeks beginning in February. Thank you to CSRS AP for coordinating the 2019 Traveling Fellowship.
