Call for Member Surveys
Since its inception, CSRS has a history of fostering research & education regarding the diagnosis and treatment of cervical spine injury and disease. The research and educational components of our organization are embodied in many different ways. These currently include our annual CME events, the Annual Meeting and Instructional Course, and the Hands-on Surgical Techniques Course in addition to our research grants and research awards.
CSRS leadership has determined that surveys are an effective mechanism for obtaining data on topics that are central to our organization and that provide value to our membership. An increasing number of inquiries to circulate surveys have resulted in the formation of a new committee specifically charged with soliciting and reviewing survey requests.
Survey submissions will take place twice a year and will be reviewed by the Research Committee Co-chairs to determine whether the survey is original, of interest to CSRS Members, has a sound study design and is suitable for collecting information that will effect change in our thought process.
Investigators of all distributed surveys are required to submit an abstract to be considered for presentation at the CSRS Annual Meeting.
Accepted surveys will be included in a member newsletter, and in a separate email to members with all other surveys accepted during that call. If the submitter approves to receiving non-member results, the survey may also be included in the rotating slide deck throughout that year's Instructional Course and Annual Meeting via QR code.
Submissions: Submissions will be solicited twice per year on April 1 and October 1.
Deadline: Submission deadlines will be April 30 and October 31.
Requirements:
- Must be sponsored by a CSRS Active member
- Blinded (no investigator information)
- No more than 10 minutes for completion
- Subsequent abstract submission and/or podium presentation
